The Phoenix
My body is yours that is my firm belief.
Like the mist belongs to the pale morning.
This arms of mine that homage your smile, that loving thief.
Where born to shelter all your painful mourning.
This gutful feeling that I embrace.
With all this Milky Way in my eyes.
Sings constantly, an admirable new trace.
That I will never repay love with lies.
No joy or sorrow will mislead me from your way.
No tiredness or exhaustion can make me succumb.
While I wait for those words that are yours to say.
Because with you I Live! I am not frozen, I am not numb!
I tussle with this unlawfully and melancholic horde.
That lived too many years in this old church bell.
I haunt them with the power of this new fiery sword.
And I cage the lot in this stoutly and forgetful cell.
This is me, blaring across the smoky distance, across the sky.
Tell my Love that she will never have to fear me absent.
Using the trees, the wind, the leafs as my faithful ally.
Because I am eternal, if for ever I could rest near your scent.
